25 July 2026 – Guided walk: ‘The Oratories of Gatteville’

Every village in the commune of Gatteville-le-Phare has a wayside shrine built in the 1950s.

Each of these shrines is unique, designed according to the inspiration of the residents of the village in which it is situated.

Starting from Place Notre-Dame, today’s guided walk took us through each village in Gatteville, passing in front of the wayside shrine in each one.

Eight shrines, a circuit of around 15 km, a four-hour walk with a picnic stop – what better way to broaden your knowledge whilst getting some exercise!
