Public consultation
on the project to replace the statue of the Virgin and Child
the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours in Gatteville
A public consultation was held on Saturday 1 March.
The aim of the consultation was to gather the views of those who wished to express their opinions on the style and material of the future statue of the Virgin and Child, divided into two groups: residents of Gatteville-le-Phare (permanent and secondary residents) and residents of other communes.
Three different styles of statue and three different materials were submitted to the participants, who had to choose one style and one material.
Contributions could be made in two different and mutually exclusive ways:
- At Gatteville-le-Phare town hall, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.
- Online, between 9am and 5pm
The results of this consultation were used to inform the decisions of the project committee, which then submitted the project to the administrative and religious authorities before awarding the final contract to Atelier Charrault.
