19 July 2025 – ‘Shipwrecks on Gatteville’ conference

There have been numerous shipwrecks along the Gatteville coastline throughout history.

Thierry Louise had already recounted, during his lecture on 24 April 2025, the tragic, unusual and sometimes comical circumstances of a few shipwrecks that took place on the north coast and are well documented.

He repeated this lecture on 19 July for all those who had been unable to attend the first edition.

Thanks to the partnership between Gatteville Héritages and ASCEE50, this lecture was held in the Gatteville lighthouse hall, a particularly symbolic and important place for maritime history.

As always, a friendly get-together brought the event to a close in a very convivial atmosphere.
