As part of the ‘Pierres en Lumières’ Normandy heritage festival, Gatteville Héritages has organised a guided night walk entitled

‘The treasures of Gatteville by the light of the lighthouse’.

The walk set off at 10.15pm from Place Notre-Dame in Gatteville, where participants were able to admire the intermittent light of the lighthouse over Saint-Pierre church, Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours chapel and the superb houses lining the square.

The walk continued past the former German battery from the Second World War, then along the Roubary harbour and shoreline to end at the foot of the lighthouse, still lit up in its own special way.

The walk ended with a return to Place Notre-Dame at around 11.45pm, after a 5km walk.
