13 August 2026 – Lecture: ‘Le tue-vaques: memories and stories of the Val de Saire narrow-gauge railway’
Annick Perrot, historian and chair of the Saint-Vaast / Cotentin Culture, Events and Heritage Association (CAP Saint-Vaast), recounted the history of the Tue-Vaques, a small train in the Val de Saire that ran until 1950, to an audience of over 80 people who were fascinated by the many anecdotes surrounding its operation.
It was an opportunity for several of those present to share their memories of the Tue-Vaques or to recall other forgotten aspects of life in the Cotentin.
